"Robert" (Avatar)

Speaker in the videos

"Why do I work with an avatar? Quite simply: the time required for production is significantly less, the flexibility for text changes or additions is much greater and the costs are much lower than if I were the main actor.

Firstly, I filmed myself: as an experienced amateur photographer, that shouldn't be a problem. I thought so. But it is: light, sound quality, voice, editing... Getting a coherent and consistent quality here is quite a challenge. Learning: Videography is something else than photography.

Then I hired a professional editor - the editing and sound were just right, and at a fair price. But the challenges with lighting and voice remained the same. And when the text changed, I had to re-record the chapter and the editor had to work in the new parts.

Another option would have been a professional camera team. 1-2 days of production work per course. Done. Costs around 10 to 15 thousand euros. Zero flexibility in terms of content: we would have had to shoot again for every change. And when is a text ever completely finished?

I had actually already given up on the project; I didn't even get round to developing the idea of neptunprogramm.de any further. So there was a two-year break. I came across the AI-based video creation tools by chance: simply put - enter text, select avatar, start processing and the video is ready.

It's not quite that simple in practice, but the bottom line is that such a video tool makes a lot of things easier: no fluctuations in light and sound quality, the greatest possible flexibility when changing or adding text, favourable production costs without appearing 'cheap'. An exciting experience with a high fun factor.

And when watching the videos, it makes a (hopefully) bearable difference. In essence, it's about the content and not about 'television'. After all, you even benefit from it, because the price-performance ratio is already very good.

Not only that - the content and scope of the course can be easily expanded. Or even be customised to your needs with a manageable amount of effort: Colour scheme, speaker, layout. Just as you wish."
